New Redwings Recruit Mark Godfrey capped off his last C Grade season in style after being named joint MVP last month at the C Grade awards night. It was his second MVP award in as many seasons.

Godfrey was recruited with the clubs first pick (3rd overall) in the C Grade draft last Feburary. He shared the award with 1st overall Bantams pick Aaron Grubb (Falcons). Going into the last round of the MVP award count, Grubb lead with 18 votes to Godfreys 16. Grubb failed to poll a vote in his last game and as the count moved on to the very final game of regular season, Godfrey pulled 2 votes to tie the count.

Both MVP years Mark lead the league in both the goals and points Category, Also claiming the Premiership in the Inaugral Division 1 league during the winter of 2014.

Six games into his first season of B Grade, Godfrey is second on the team in points with 1g-7a-8p. Our first (third overall) Bantams pick Marcel McGuiness leads the team and the League with 9g-8a-17p.

The Rookies are doing alright.
