Lehmann named Captain of the Adelaide Rush

 

The newly formed Adelaide Rush (formally the Adelaide Adrenaline) of the AWIHL have named Redwings Defence(wo)man Sari Lehmann their Captain for the 2016/17 season. Candice Mitchell, the teams captain between 2005/06-2015/16 is stepping down and taking a smaller playing role on the team.

Lehmann has served as an Alternate Captain behind Mitchell for the last 4 years and has been pegged as the teams next captain after Mitchell for many years. Lehmann one of Australia's finest home grown talents has represented the country since 2012 playing on the teams top 4 pairings. A fierce competitor by nature, Lehmann plays a responsible two way game, is capable of skating the puck if required or making a perfect first pass for the forwards to break out.
